This is a wrongful discharge case in which plaintiff, a former jail matron for defendant city, seeks reinstatement, back pay and benefits, damages and attorney fees. Trial was to a jury, which answered four special interrogatories. The trial court supplemented the jury's answers to two of the interrogatories with further factual determinations of its own and then entered judgment for defendants. Plaintiff appeals, assigning as error,
