On August 4, 1982, Jerry Miley was charged by indictment with: (1) attempted murder in violation of NRS 200.010 and NRS 208.070; (2) child abuse causing substantial bodily and mental harm in violation of NRS 200.508; (3) lewdness with a child under the age of fourteen (14) in violation of NRS 201.230; and (4) battery with intent to commit sexual assault causing substantial bodily harm in violation of NRS 200.400(3).
