The original plaintiff, Virginia E. Henry, filed this suit against the State of Louisiana, Through the Department of Health and Human Resources, Huey P. Long Memorial Hospital of Pineville, and Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans, alleging acts of malpractice arising out of the treatment and/or lack thereof administered to her from April through July of 1980.
