Haynes sustained an injury to his lower back while lifting a heavy object during the course of his employment as a bartender for Peachtree Plaza Hotel. Claimant Haynes received workers' compensation benefits for the resulting period of disability and underwent surgery for removal of a disc and a laminectomy.
