Steve Green was charged by a bill of information with armed robbery of George Dwelle on January 23, 1980, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. He was tried by a jury of twelve on May 8, 1980 and found guilty as charged. The trial judge sentenced Green to forty years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
