This is an appeal from a conviction of appellant, a previously convicted felon, for owning or having in his possession or under his control, a firearm in violation of § 134-7(b) of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The principal contention on appeal is that there was a prejudicial joinder of appellant's indictment for possession of a firearm in Criminal No. 53131 with his indictment for murder in Criminal No. 52876.
