ODOM, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction for aggravated robbery. Punishment was assessed at eight years.

Initially appellant entered a plea of guilty and a jury was selected to hear evidence and assess punishment. After appellant testified the trial court sua sponte withdrew his plea of guilty and entered a plea of not guilty for him because he denied that he used or exhibited a handgun as alleged.
