Plaintiffs-appellants, John R. Tate and Donald Hebert, were traveling in a westerly direction on U.S. Highway 61 in a 1965 Ford van driven by plaintiff-appellant John R. Tate. Defendant-appellee, William K. Myers, an employee of Rimmer and Garrett, Inc., was operating a 1979 half-ton Chevrolet pickup while within the scope and course of his employment.
