Calvin Sweet appeals from a judgment of the district court in favor of the United States.1 Sweet, a former serviceman, brought suit under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C. §§ 1346(b), 2671-2680 (1976), seeking $3,905,710 in damages for injuries he allegedly sustained as a result of the Army's postdischarge negligence.
