Defendant was charged by indictment with two counts of official misconduct (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 33-3(b)), and one count each of assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 12-1(a)) and battery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 12-3(a)(2)). After a bench trial, defendant was found not guilty of official misconduct and guilty...
