On June 23, 1981, the defendant Richard L. Lyell pled guilty to three counts of indecent liberties with a child and five counts of child pornography. A factual basis for these charges was presented to the court and on July 17, 1981, defendant was sentenced to a 15-year-term of imprisonment on each charge, to run concurrently. His counsel filed a written motion to withdraw the guilty plea...
