The issue is whether the two-year Statute of Limitations (Insurance Law, § 168) bars recovery on an insurance policy issued to the plaintiff by the defendant to cover damage rendered by fire and lightning (extended coverage) and vandalism. Sometime over the weekend of March 10, 1978, plaintiff allegedly sustained damage by vandalism.
