This is an appeal from the district court's decision holding this State's school closing statutes, K.S.A. 72-8136a et seq., in part unconstitutional.

The Shawnee Mission Unified School District No. 512 is a political subdivision of the State located in Johnson County. Pursuant to K.S.A. 72-8127 the Board of Education has divided the school district into five geographical areas, or member districts...
