KATZ, Bankruptcy Judge:

Appellant Judith Sarner contends that the trial court improperly granted summary judgment on her complaint to determine dischargeability pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(5). The debtor, her ex-husband, sought to discharge his duty to pay for her furniture. The duty arose from the property settlement agreement negotiated between the Sarners in their marital dissolution.
