On December 27, 1979, Bette M. Anderson entered a plea of nolo contendere in the district court to a charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.10 percent or more, in violation of former Anchorage Municipal Ordinance (AMO) 9.28.030.1 Upon her plea, Anderson was convicted and sentenced to serve ninety days in jail, with all but ten days suspended...
