Defendant, Robert Hawkins, was charged in a two-count information with first-degree murder, committed during the perpetration or attempted perpetration of a larceny, in violation of MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, and felony-firearm, in violation of MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Defendant was convicted by a jury of murder in the first degree, but was found not guilty of the felony-firearm charge. After being sentenced...
