SHEA, Justice.

This case is before the court on appeal from the defendant's conviction by jury in the Superior Court for rape. Charles W. Bassett was sentenced to ten years in the Adult Correctional Institutions for a rape committed in the victim's home on May 4, 1979. On appeal the defendant raises three issues for our consideration.
