Johnnie Gooch seeks review of the trial court's judgment in the custody action commenced by his former wife, Margaret. The court exercised jurisdiction under sec. 822.03, Stats., the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act (UCCJA). Johnnie contends that the Wisconsin court was without subject matter jurisdiction to render a custody award because Wisconsin was not the home state of the children, sec. 822.03(1) (a), Stats; that the trial court did not have jurisdiction...
