OPINION

PER CURIAM:

A juvenile court referee designated Gregory C. a child in need of supervision (CHINS) pursuant to NRS 62.040, subd. 1(b). The district court affirmed the referee's finding. Among other contentions, Gregory argues that the state adduced insufficient evidence at the hearing before the referee to support a CHINS finding. We agree, and therefore reverse.
