Defendant Darrell Watson was tried before a jury, convicted of indecent liberties with a child, and sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment.

According to the evidence presented at trial, defendant's wife left the family home about 6 p.m. on November 4, 1979, to run an errand, leaving defendant with the couple's two children, three-year-old Margaret and one-year-old Darrell Raymond. Defendant...
