CUTRER, Judge.
This appeal emanates from Earl Parquette's suit against Arceneaux Music Center, Inc. (Arceneaux Music) for the amount due on a loan made to defendant by plaintiff. The trial court rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff and against the defendant for the sum of $12,500.00 plus interest at the rate of eighteen percent. Defendant appeals. We affirm.
