STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Joseph Wright was charged with murder in Lake Superior Court. Trial was held before a jury and Wright was found guilty of the lesser included offense of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to ten years imprisonment. Wright's appointed trial counsel filed a motion to correct errors which was overruled. Another attorney was appointed to perfect an appeal to this court.
