Defendant was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, two counts of assault with intent to commit murder, MCL 750.83; MSA 28.278, and felony-firearm, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Defendant received the statutory sentence on the first-degree murder charge, and 2 to 20 years imprisonment for each of the assault charges. The sentencing judge refused to sentence defendant...
