ALDERMAN, Justice.

Alonzo Bryant appeals his conviction for first-degree murder and his sentence of death. He also appeals his conviction for the underlying felony of robbery. We find that the court committed reversible error in not giving Bryant's requested instruction on independent act, and we reverse his conviction for murder in the first degree and remand for a new trial.
