Defendant was a self-insurer for both workers' compensation and no-fault insurance. Plaintiff thereafter received workers' compensation benefits and first-party no-fault benefits from defendant and instituted a civil action against the other vehicle's owner and driver. In September, 1980, plaintiff obtained a judgment for $126,317.05 in said action and later received an additional $5,000 in settlement of the appeal he took to this...
