This is an appeal from the trial court's apportionment and award of attorney's fees in a worker's compensation case, pursuant to Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann. art. 8307, § 6a (Vernon 1981). The plaintiff in the original case, Metcalf, brought a third-party action against Gibson Drilling Company which was settled after jury selection.
