In 1973, defendant pled guilty in Eaton County Circuit Court to a charge of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549. He was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment. On September 29, 1980, defendant filed a motion for resentencing with the trial court alleging the trial judge had considered previous felony convictions of defendant at which defendant was not represented by counsel.
