Defendant was originally charged with first-degree murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2), and was found guilty in a jury trial of manslaughter, MCL 750.321; MSA 28.553, and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony. He was sentenced to consecutive prison terms of 6 to 15 years for manslaughter and 2 years on the felony-firearm count, and now appeals...
