SNYDER, Judge.

This is an appeal from a conviction of first degree assault. § 565.050, RSMo. 1978. A jury found appellant guilty and assessed his punishment at thirty years which he was sentenced to serve in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The judgment is affirmed.
