This case is the appeal of a verdict for plaintiff awarded in an action brought under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA), 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60 (1976). On November 4, 1980, the jury found for plaintiff-respondent August Marynik in the amount of $80,000 for an injury suffered in December 1976 and in the amount of $1,000 for an injury suffered in June 1978.
