HALL, Judge.

Plaintiff appeals from the judgment of the trial court annulling a default judgment entered against the State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development (hereinafter referred to as the Department) for plaintiff's failure to comply with the notice requirements of LSA-C.C.P. Art. 1704. We affirm.
