Defendant was charged with the offenses of first-degree murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). On February 28, 1980, the jury found defendant guilty of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, and guilty as charged on the count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. On March 11, 1980, defendant was sentenced to serve the mandatory 2 years...
