This is an appeal from a conviction for aggravated robbery, where the punishment was assessed by the jury at life imprisonment.

We are met at the outset with the contention raised in appellant's pro se brief that the court's charge was fundamentally defective.

The indictment, omitting the formal parts, alleged:
