This is an action by an employee against his employer to recover workmen's compensation benefits, attorneys fees and penalties for injuries he allegedly sustained while engaged in the course and scope of his employment. R.S. 23:1021 et seq. After a trial on the merits, the trial court awarded the plaintiff workmen's compensation benefits at the rate of $95.00 per week for twelve weeks and medical expenses of $1,100.
