After a bench trial upon stipulated evidence, defendant, Gary Hatch, was convicted of burglary (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 19-1) and received an extended-term sentence of 10 years' imprisonment. On appeal, defendant contends that he was denied his statutory right to a speedy trial either because he was not tried within 120 days of being taken into custody of Du Page County authorities...
