This appeal arises out of a dispute over a realtor's commission on the sale of an apartment building located in East Peoria, Illinois. On August 22, 1979, Samuel and Karolyn Kent entered into a listing contract giving Commercial National Realty Company (CNR) an exclusive right to sell and advertise the Kents' apartment building.
