This appeal arises from a wrongful death action brought by the wife and children of the decedent, Charles McElroy, resulting from a December 10, 1971 automobile accident. Decedent's family sued Ford Motor Co., claiming that the decedent died as a result of a design defect which allowed the door of the car in which he was riding to fly open, thus ejecting him.
