Plaintiff Gerald Littlejohn sued his employer for injuries he sustained while working as a brakeman at the defendant's railroad car repair facility near the town of Red House, West Virginia. At the conclusion of the trial, the jury returned a verdict for plaintiff Gerald Littlejohn in the amount of $600,000.
