Defendant and another man were charged with first-degree murder or first-degree felony murder contrary to MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548 and possession of a firearm in the commission of or attempt to commit a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). At the joint trial, the trial court granted a directed verdict of acquittal as to the codefendant. The jury found J.D. Williams guilty of being an accessory after the fact and possession of a firearm. He was sentenced...
