Appellant was indicted for trafficking in cannabis in violation of § 20-2-80(1)(a) (Supp.1981), Code 1975, as amended. A hearing on appellant's motion to suppress was held and the motion was overruled. Appellant was tried and found guilty, and the court fixed his punishment as nine years imprisonment and a fine of $25,000. Subsequently, a motion for new trial was denied, and a notice of appeal to this court...
