Defendant was arrested on July 8, 1977 for aggravated crime against nature in violation of R.S. 14:89.1. A bill of information was filed on May 8, 1978 charging defendant with aggravated crime against nature on a nine year old girl. Defendant was arraigned on June 5, 1978 at which time he entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity.
