Scott Rovang appealed from a judgment of guilty of burglary1 [NDCC § 12.1-22-02] entered after a bench trial by the district court.

Rovang's conviction was primarily based upon his confession made to law enforcement personnel on 3 June 1981. Rovang's attorney moved to suppress the 3 June 1981 statements made to private individuals (James Ronngren and Kevin Seher)...
