Diane Marie Souffie was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Caroline County of second degree murder, robbery, robbery with a deadly weapon, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony, and battery. She was found not guilty of felony murder, assault and transporting a handgun. Because the jury could not agree on first degree murder, the trial judge declared a "mistrial" as to that count.
