Detective Gary Queen testified that he advised defendant of his constitutional rights at about 5:00 a. m. on 8 December 1980 and that defendant replied that he understood his rights. Detective Queen asked defendant whether he was willing to answer questions, and the defendant replied that he was not, that he wanted to talk to an attorney.
