Grant was convicted of kidnapping, aggravated assault, rape and motor vehicle theft.

The victim was cleaning her car after depositing trash in a dumpster when she was hit over the head with a bottle. When she regained consciousness, she was on the front floor on the passenger side of her car, which was being driven by a person later identified as appellant. Appellant drove to a secluded area, forced the victim into the back seat of the car...
