If a contractually established deadline passes without a tenured teacher notifying the school district of the teacher's intent to return from a leave of absence, may the teacher's employment be terminated? This issue of first impression is before us in an appeal from a February 1, 1980, decision of the Teacher Tenure Commission ordering the reinstatement of defendant-appellee Susan Miner.
