This is a suit to recover the balance due in a building contract. Plaintiff-Contractor, Rapides Construction, Inc., sued defendant, Pierson A. Gaspard, seeking to recover the balance due upon a contract's substantial completion and to recover attorney's fees as provided for in the contract. After hearing extensive testimony presented by both plaintiff and defendant, the trial court rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff in the amount of $9,166.05...
