The defendant was convicted of larceny in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-123 (a) (2) and also of conspiracy to commit larceny in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-48 after a jury trial. In a later proceeding he was also found guilty of being a persistent felony offender in violation of General Statutes § 53a-40 (b).
