On November 18, 1977, plaintiff commenced this malpractice action in Wayne County Circuit Court and included a demand for a jury trial in her complaint. When plaintiff's complaint was filed, GCR 1963, 508.4 was in effect providing that a jury fee be paid by the close of the pretrial conference.
