Defendant appeals as of right the trial court's April 7, 1981, writ of mandamus ordering defendant to award plaintiffs, retired fire fighters, the status of duty disability retirees under defendant's pension plan. A nonjury trial was held on November 6, 1979, on stipulated facts and depositions. The trial judge issued an opinion on March 18, 1981.
